The King of the South played The King of Rock during VMA rehearsals this afternoon. During a break in practice, T.I killed time by playing a little air guitar on set. Keeping things light, the rapper sorted out some sound problems while waiting for Rihanna to rehearse their VMA performance of “Live Your Life.”

But before the rapper could really get things started, Rihanna strolled in with Chris Brown. After getting a hug from his collaborator, T.I. asked Chris if he’s ready for Monday: the morning after the VMAs, the two begin production on the heist caper film, Bone Deep.

With T.I. and Rihanna’s rehearsals underway, Chris took a seat to watch… but not for long. “Chris Brown, don’t you wanna be in the mosh pit?” the stage director called out over the microphone.

She needed some stand-ins for the audience, so Chris waved his arms in the air, pretending to be a frantic fan. It didn’t take much to get Chris Brown to make some moves — a little while later, he made his way to the front of the stage and started dancing.

Chris Brown chatted with JustJared.com a few days ago to talk about his first foray into the fashion world and the music he’s recording with the Jonas Brothers. Here’s what the 19-year-old Prince of R&B had to say:

JJ: Can you tell us about your collection of New Era caps?

CB: Yeah, I was doing six individual hats, where they got me to personally design the hats. And so I got a chance to do something more for the kids and not necessarily go into “high fashion” yet. This is more for the casual back-to-school kids, the everyday person that just wants to be casual. Later on in the future, I’ll do more higher fashion stuff. This is a good opportunity to work with New Air, because I love and support their products 100%.

JJ: How much of the designing did you handle yourself?

CB: I was, I would say 99% of the creativity. I wouldn’t say I was 100% of the creativity as far as the designs, I was 99% of it because you know you have to have a whole bunch of other workers to help your vision. I wanted to do some cool stuff for kids to start off with, some hats just to get my foot in the door because hopefully we’ll do another deal next season and have a wide array of designs and stuff for the hats.

Jordin Sparks has proved that if you crown her an “American Idol,” she’s going to deliver.

She’s nominated for Best Female Video and Best New Artist at the Video Music Awards for the video for “No Air,” her collaboration with Chris Brown. Chris Robinson, the video’s director, revealed that Sparks’ sheer determination made her a pleasure to work with.

“She’s focused and a worker,” he told MTV News. “She sang her heart out on every take for 18 hours. I told her to ‘take it easy, this is going to be a long day,’ but I think she only knows how to give everything her all. It’s refreshing to see that.”

Robinson didn’t immediately respond to the request for him to work on the video, but once he listened closely to the track, he knew he wanted to team up with the young singer.

“At the time, I was very busy and it just kind of sat in my inbox for a minute. Then on the weekend, I sat back and listened to the track and was blown away. The feeling the song created was really special. I heard this powerful voice that drew me in. The lyrics, Jordin’s delivery, the duet all created a vibe.”

Robinson was impressed by Sparks and fellow teen sensation Brown and was surprised by their on-set chemistry. “The dynamic between everyone on set was great. It was really interesting to see these two young people so talented and yet so professional and down to earth.

“When I was 18 or 19, I most definitely did not have it together like these two! When you see Jordin and Chris you see two artists that will hopefully continue to push the envelope artistically,” Robinson gushed. “We all ended up putting a piece of ourselves into this project.”

He was “pleasantly surprised” to learn of Sparks’ VMA nomination. “We all know that at all kinds of award shows, sometimes the things we think should be nominated aren’t and vice versa,” he said. “I feel like Jordin really deserves it.”

He also described Jordin as a unique voice for her generation — a quality that makes her, in his opinion, a perfect Best New Artist contender. “The Best New Artist should be looked at for the talent they have and the feeling they give the audience they are communicating to. Jordin definitely is speaking to her generation.

“As far as talent,” he added, “it’s evident she has loads of it.”

Rihanna and her good friend Chris Brown are set to wage a small tour across New Zealand. The pair, who have been seen spending quite a bit of time together over the last few months, have topped the charts in the US and around the globe, New Zealand included. Rihanna presently sits at the top of the charts in the small country with her single Disturbia, while Chris Brown topped the charts there earlier this year when both his singles, Forever and With You, hit #1. Look for the dynamic duo to play Auckland’s Vector Arena on Monday, October 27th and Wellington’s TSB Arena on Wednesday, October 29th. Future dates and a possible US tour are also in the works.

As you know i was out and about hoping to get some exclusive photos of which i failed BUT im back the site will be back to its daily updates (those who disrespected my cbox are banned) and i have a trillion ideas for the site of which the ones i’ve done already are being mimicked on other chris brown fansites but ok…
